Position Title: Nursing: Assistant Professor in Health Information Management

Department: 2620|Allied Health

Responsibilities:
Teaching in the HIM and HSA programs. Instruction, research and service are the primary foci. The candidate should demonstrate evidence of ongoing intellectual competence and professional development. Tenure-earning position is available. Applications for the nine-month Assistant Professor Faculty position are initiated online and submitted to the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions.

Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations and are responsible for professional practice experience, classroom, and on-line instruction of students in a competitive, technology-based learning environment. Applicants are expected to describe their commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment through their research, teaching, and/or service activities.

Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in health information management, health informatics, or a related discipline is required. Certification as a Registered Health Information Management Administrator and previous experience teaching at the university level are preferred.
