Accounting Instructor

The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) Business School seeks one full-time Instructor of Accounting. Full-time Instructors teach 7 courses (3 credit hours each) per academic year (a 9-month appointment). In addition to teaching, intellectual contributions and service are expected with a ratio of 70% teaching / 20% intellectual contributions / 10% service to the university and/or business school and externally to the community and/or profession. They are also expected to maintain their academic and/or professional qualifications. We seek instructors with the ability to teach a variety of courses.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Required qualifications for the position include a master’s degree in accounting, business or a closely related field and at least two years professional experience in accounting or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include professional certification (CPA, CFE, CIA, CMA, etc), evidence of ongoing professional development, and successful prior experience teaching accounting.
