Job Description:

The History Department at Assumption College seeks to hire a part-time adjunct instructor to teach at least one section of HIS 114 World History I for the Fall 2018 semester. Classes run from August 27th to December 5th with finals held through December 14th. The course is capped at 25 students and meets on a MWF schedule at 2:30pm. Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department and to our students, and are provided with shared office space, email, voicemail, and other resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters.

Requirements:

Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College.

Applicants should have a PhD in History; ABD graduate students with prior teaching experience will also be considered.
