Job Description

Ohio University Lancaster campus is seeking temporary, part-time instructor(s) of LET Special Topics: Public Safety Communications on our Lancaster Regional campus in a traditional classroom setting. This course provides students with an overview of the unique skills, knowledge, and abilities of 9-1-1 Dispatchers and Telecommunication Officers, and an introduction to what this career choice has to offer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the Criminal Justice area and service in a leadership position.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years experience in law enforcement telecommunications or dispatching, including computer, police radio, and CAD systems, as well as handling critical incidents and teaching.

Pay Rate:

$890.00 to $1,075.00 per credit depending on credentials.
