Art Instructor Photography | Temporary Full-Time

Job description

The Slippery Rock University Art Department is seeking a full-time, temporary Instructor for the 2018-2019 academic year beginning August 2018 to teach Photography and courses in other studio areas as assigned. Responsibilities include teaching and organization/management of studio courses and the Photography Studio.

Minimum Qualifications: MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Photography or equivalent degree in related field required. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and the ability to teach this program in an Art context required. Because any faculty position demands teaching, scholarly activity, and service, applicants should submit evidence of successful teaching and leadership beyond the classroom. Successful performance in preliminary Skype interview and on campus interview with teaching demonstration required.
Letters and/or application materials should include evidence of successful teaching both within and beyond the classroom, in addition to evidence of a demonstrated commitment to the education of diverse populations.
