The Department of Fine Arts at Tarleton State University seeks applications for an artist-in-residence for the 2019-2020 academic year with expertise in design. The position is a 9-month half time non-tenure track position (20 hours per week). The selected artist is expected to be accessible to the Department of Fine Arts community, and to develop a relationship with Digital Media Studies, Art, and Design students through workshops, lectures, or talks to be scheduled in consultation with the faculty.

With a comprehensive Digital Media Studies, Visual Arts programs operating within the larger Department of Fine Arts, TSU’s goal relevant to the AIR position is the completion of a project that will benefit student education in the Department of Fine Arts, and the Tarleton community at large.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in design or related field

Additional Preferred Qualifications
2 years experience in professional and/or commercial design or related field
