The College of Engineering at Purdue University invites applications from outstanding candidates in Construction Engineering and Management. The faculty member will become part of a vibrant community of scholars who are committed to building an already strong program in Construction Engineering and Management and increasing interdisciplinary connections across campus, with other academic institutions, and industrial partners. We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Simulation, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Analytics, Informatics, or Big Data. The tenure track position will be at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank commensurate with the candidate’s credentials. A joint appointment with other Schools within the Purdue College of Engineering is possible.
The Construction Engineering and Management Division at Purdue University has experienced significant growth in the past decade and has a strong faculty core engaged in all areas of Construction Engineering and Management as well as significant interdisciplinary efforts across campus, with other academic institutions, and industrial partners. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a closely related field of engineering with specialization in Construction Engineering and Management and demonstrate excellent potential to collaborate with other faculty as well as educate and mentor students; candidates with a PE are preferred. The successful candidate will advise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, mentor junior faculty, engage in pedagogical enhancements and application of research into practice, and perform service at both the School and University levels. Candidates with experience working with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff and the ability to contribute to an inclusive climate are particularly encouraged to apply.
