Assistant or Associate Professor in Vocal Arts, Tenure Track

POSITION: Voice Teacher and Studio Coordinator: Musical Theater
Full-time faculty appointment in Vocal Arts

RANK/SALARY: Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Boyer College of Music and Dance seeks an outstanding artist-teacher with professional performance experience in classical and musical theater repertoire. Duties include: teach private voice to undergraduate students in musical theater; coordinate teacher assignments for all musical theater students; develop cohort of part-time and graduate-student voice teachers; work with theater faculty and staff; recruit and retain excellent students; teach related courses in vocal pedagogy or other areas of interest. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant potential for appropriate contribution to the field through creative activity and/or scholarship.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree preferred (professional equivalency will be considered); professional and academic experience in performance and teaching; outstanding performance and/or scholarly accomplishments; reputation as an outstanding teacher and musician.


Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance is located on the University’s main campus in the culturally rich and diverse city of Philadelphia.
