Job description

Successful candidate will teach four course per semester in the area of broadcast journalism. Additional duties will include oversight of student internships and student broadcasts, coordination among the university broadcast stations and university service typical of a tenure-track appointment. (advisement of majors, service on committees)

Candidates of preference will have a substantive experience and expertise in videography, production, newsroom and operational management, and news direction. We seek a dynamic professional who will model excellence in broadcast journalism for a burgeoning program. A Master’s in journalism with a minimum of five years experience as a full-time broadcast journalist in the field is required. Particular expertise in the area of television production is preferred. Candidates of preference may also have a Ph.D in journalism and experience teaching journalism at the collegiate level to the under-served or first generation college students.
