Emporia State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Earth Science to begin in August, 2018. We are seeking a broadly trained geoscientist with expertise in remote sensing and GIS. The candidate’s specific geoscience research discipline is flexible, but the candidate is expected to teach courses and supervise student research using geospatial techniques that complement existing strengths (e.g., geology, hydrogeology, geoarchaeology, paleontology, and physical geography). The successful candidate will be expected to teach on-line/hybrid and on-campus courses in our undergraduate Earth Science, Geospatial Analysis, and graduate programs. Research mentoring at the undergraduate and master’s level is expected. A Ph.D. is required prior to the start of the position.
