APPOINTMENT: Nine-month tenure track position beginning, August 19, 2019.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise physiology and related areas in kinesiology as assigned. Additional job responsibilities include an expectation to engage in scholarly activity and provide service to the department, college, university and profession.

- The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Kinesiology (or related field) with a specialization in exercise physiology from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body) by the time of appointment.
- Candidates must have experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in an exercise physiology related area.
- Successful teaching experience in higher education and a university setting at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Ability to teach within a diverse kinesiology curriculum that includes students in Athletic Training, Physical Education, Exercise Science, Health and Dietetics.
- Experience teaching exercise stress testing and electrocardiography, exercise prescription, anatomy and physiology, research methods, statistics, and health and wellness.
- Evidence of scholarship in exercise physiology such as published peer-reviewed articles, scholarly presentations at state, national, or international conferences, professional involvement, and securing external funding.
- ACSM and/or NSCA certifications are desired.
- Demonstrated interest in working in a diverse university and community settings.
- Demonstrated experience incorporating technology in instructional practices.

Macomb is an Amtrak city with twice-daily service to Chicago. Macomb is located approximately 75 miles from the Quad Cities International Airport (Moline, IL) and 70 miles from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (Peoria, IL).
WIU-Quad Cities (Student Population: 1,267): The only public university in the Quad Cities area, WIU-QC offers select undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctorate in education and a doctorate in environmental studies, at its metropolitan campus in Moline, IL
