Job Description

The College of Business at Ohio University invites applications for one tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor of Finance. Appointment begins August 2018. Applicants must be ABD at the time of application and must have an earned doctorate in Finance or equivalent degree in finance, or a related field, from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution by the start date. We welcome candidates with evidence of solid research potential and effectiveness in teaching.

The Finance Department offers excellent research resources and support in addition to a variety of teaching opportunities. Ohio University has WRDS access to CRSP, Compustat, OptionMetrics, and Execucomp as well as access to SDC M&A, Thomson Reuters Analyst Reports, Bloomberg, Factset, and Morningstar. Our faculty has published in Financial Analysts Journal, Financial Management, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Finance, and Review of Asset Pricing Studies. New hires will receive travel support for academic conferences as well as summer research support. The teaching load for Assistant Professors is 2/2 for the first two years and 2/3 in following years. The average class size is 35.

Pay Rate:
