Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching load consists of four courses per semester, placement and supervision of student internships, supervision of student publications, and collection and documentation of program and course assessment data. The instructor will advise students who have journalism as a teaching field or minor track; will serve on departmental and university committees; will attend faculty meetings and be available for consultation and in-service programs.

Minimum Required Education:
Ph.D. in Journalism, Mass Communication or closely-related discipline (ABD candidates may be considered)

Required Licenses and/or Certifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
We are particularly seeking candidates with scholarly and professional experience in writing for emerging media in a range of formats which might include blogs, videoblogs/podcasts, digital storytelling, and social media.

Preferred Qualifications
Professional experience and excellence in teaching at the university level.
