Florida Southern College announces a 12-month full-time, permanent tenure track-eligible position in the MSN program. This position would start in summer 2019, and would include administrative responsibilities as MSN program director. This position is a member of the Dean’s leadership team and works closely with the Director of Graduate Nursing Programs to ensure the success of the MSN program. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences provides programs for Athletic Training, Exercise Science, and Health Science as well as for Nursing, which includes the BSN pre­ licensure, the RN/BSN, and the MSN programs.

The MSN Program Director is responsible for assigned operational and administrative tasks and duties for the Master’s and Graduate Certificate programs. Areas of responsibility include the following as assigned by the Dean or the Director of Graduate Nursing Programs: leadership and administration; teaching; curriculum planning, development, implementation, and evaluation; academic and community service. This position would be an active faculty member of the CCNE accredited MSN program and will provide both didactic and clinical instruction in the MSN program, maintain positive relationships and active collaborations with the major clinical/community serving the MSN program, and demonstrate collaboration, collegiality, and support for program excellence.

Required is a doctoral degree from an accredited institution, active certification as a nurse practitioner, Florida nursing licensure (active or eligible), and experience in the nurse practitioner role. Teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred.
