School of Government and International Affairs

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs faculty position in the School of Government and International Affairs, which begins August 2019.

The School of Government and International Affairs invites applicants for a nine month, tenure track position as an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs. The current regular teaching load is six classes per academic year. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach International Political Economy and International Law and Organization. To support the School’s commitment to the University’s general education requirements, the successful applicant must be willing to teach three sections of American Government per academic year.

A commitment to excellence in teaching complemented by strong scholarship and service, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Faculty teach courses in a variety of modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online. Qualifications required include an earned Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely related field, or the foreign equivalent. An outstanding A.B.D. may be considered if the candidate can provide evidence of scholarship and experience in teaching at the university level. Completion of the Ph.D. is, however, required at the time of appointment.
