Biola University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank to participate in new B.S. Programs in Public Health and Health Sciences.

Responsibilities. This Public Health position consists of a 12-unit academic load per semester teaching undergraduate courses in areas such as Public Health Principles, Epidemiology, Health Systems, Environmental, Global, Population, Occupational, and Community Health, Health Programs, Public Health Policy, Biostatistics, as well as selected general education courses. This position will provide students with academic advising and guidance, serve on various campus committees, and participate in departmental activities. Preferred candidates will possess certification by external agencies relevant to the discipline (i.e., CHES, MCHES). Preference will also be given to candidates with research experience and publication record. Involvement with campus, university, and community service activities is also encouraged.

Qualifications. Ph.D. or Dr.PH. in Public Health or similar field required. Ph.D. in Kinesiology or similar discipline in addition to an M.P.H. will be considered. Post-doctoral research experience is desired. The candidate must possess a commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment, with a dedication to outstanding teaching, scholarship, and service. Pursuit of individual and collaborative research is highly encouraged. Excellent communication skill and enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is essential, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning
