Job description

The Department of Classical & Modern Languages and Literatures (CMLL) at Mississippi State University (MSU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Spanish language, beginning in fall 2018. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in either Spanish, Spanish education, or related field. ABDs or degree pending will not be considered. A candidate must have a demonstrated record of both scholarly publications and professional achievements, or clear promise thereof. Qualifications also require a documented record of success in teaching – both in face-to-face and online environments for undergraduate-level Spanish courses with a focus on proficiency-based instruction of language and culture.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, engage in scholarly research, and provide service to the department, college and university.
