A tenure-track position to begin August 2018.
The Department of Political Science and Sociology at Murray State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of political theory beginning in the fall of 2018.
The area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate should be able to teach courses in the fields of Political Theory and American Politics. We also strongly prefer a candidate who is willing and able to teach graduate-level courses for our growing Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program.
Teaching responsibilities may include Introduction to Political Theory, American National Government, Classical and Medieval Political Thought, Modern Political Thought, American Political Thought, Executive Process, and other upper-level courses in the fields of Political Theory and American Politics. Teaching courses for the MPA program is also expected. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate a commitment to scholarship and service as well as excellence in teaching.
PhD in Political Science.
ABDs will be considered, but all degree requirements should be completed by August 1, 2018.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
