Job description

The Department of Education at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Technology in the Department of Education Leadership and Graduate Studies. This is a full-time tenure-track position.

Area of Specialization: Educational Technology

Primary Job Duties: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Educational Technology and in any delivery format to include online, hybrid/blended, and traditional face to face. Advise students, engage in scholarly work, provide service to the department and university, and utilize effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners. Especially important is the capacity to prepare teacher candidates and graduate students to successfully educate diverse learners in public schools.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral Degree or ABD in Educational Technology or Curriculum and Instruction with official track in Educational Technology or related field. If ABD, the doctoral degree must be completed before the date of hire. Three years of experience teaching in an American public secondary classroom. Experience offering school-wide technology professional development. The successful candidate must possess a record of scholarship appropriate to the rank considered and other academic and/or professional activities in the field of educational technology.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience serving as a P-12 technology facilitator. Experience teaching at the university level in multiple modalities; experience with the processes of organizational accreditation; evidence of experience in professional organizations; and familiarity with Quality Matters.
