Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, invites applications for a Family Medicine Faculty member who will be responsible for directing patient care, including low risk obstetrics, teaching residents and medical students, and conducting research. This position will teach our residents and medical students in a clinical setting; serve as faculty adviser for residents and provide periodic lectures to the residents and medical students. The position also directs patient care in the Family Medicine Center and area hospitals providing complete and comprehensive care including low risk OB (preferred not required). Family Physicians at our medical school deliver a range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care services. In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, they will also provide preventive care, including routine checkups, health risk assessments, immunizations and screening test.

Required Qualifications
MD,DO degree or equivalent and successful completion of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program and be board eligible prior to start or board certified within one year in Family Medicine. Candidates must possess and maintain a State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA license. Candidates must also be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license and malpractice insurance and be successfully credentialed.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
