The Department of Economics at the University of Wyoming seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor of Economics with a focus on applied microeconomics.

We seek people who have the ability to develop an outstanding research program related to applied microeconomics given challenges in natural resources, environmental policy, energy, land-use change, and changing regulatory structures. All applicants should demonstrate strong interests in applied research, possess excellent quantitative skills, and have the ability to teach graduate econometrics.

This position will be expected to develop an outstanding record of scholarly research, including successful participation in interdisciplinary research and in extramurally funded research projects; develop an successful teaching program at the undergraduate and graduate level, and work to establish an engagement program with stakeholders within WY on resource management, development, and conservation.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. Economics, or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution.

Publication of research in quality peer-reviewed journals is expected.

Desired Qualifications

Priority will be given to candidates that demonstrate a capacity for interdisciplinary collaborations. The Department has an internationally ranked Ph.D. program in applied microeconomics that includes a specialization in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics.
