Job description

The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for a full-time non-tenure-track, clinical instructor faculty position on the Palestine Campus at salary commensurate with experience to begin August 20, 2018. This is a 9-month academic appointment, with a possible summer stipend. Review of applications will begin immediately and the position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications: (a) Master’s degree in Nursing, preferably in nursing education; (b) Clinical experience nursing, medical-surgical nursing preferred; (c) Eligible for Texas licensure; (d) BSN teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: (1) teaching of on-site nursing courses; (2) conducting clinical experiences for BSN students; (3) mentoring and advising students; and (4) participating in College and University Service.

Nursing Program: The highly respected BSN program enrolls over 700 pre-nursing and 620 nursing students each semester. Average pass rates on the NCLEX are 95% across three campuses located in Tyler, Longview, and Palestine, Texas. An on-line RN-BSN track provides associate degree and diploma prepared registered nurses opportunity to earn a BSN from an accredited, respected program.
