Job description

The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and with over 500 staff, is one of the largest departments in the Medical Sciences Division. The NDPH aim is to reduce premature death and disability from human disease.

We are seeking an articulate, motivated and flexible individual to raise the profile of the Department, and of population health science in general, through a Department-wide communications strategy. You will develop and implement a public engagement strategy, take the lead regarding press and media relations and manage and develop the department’s social media presence.

To be considered, you will be educated to degree level with significant relevant experience, especially in developing and pitching story ideas to journalists in print, broadcast and online news media. You will also require experience of strategy development implementation and line management.

The position is full-time (although part-time considered) and fixed-term for two years.
