Job description

The CU Succeed Silver program seeks part-time English Lecturers to teach CU Denver English courses to Denver area high school students.

This program enables high school juniors and seniors to take CU Denver courses in their high schools for dual credit during the school day. All applicants into this position are seeking approval as CU Denver Adjunct Faculty members to teach CU Denver courses that are requested by Denver area High Schools.

We have courses for the Spring 2018 semester that we need to fill immediately. The posting will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers for the CU Succeed Silver program. Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions and will teach no more than two courses per semester. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of Denver area High Schools.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MA in English (Rhetoric, Writing, Humanities with adequate emphasis in English)
  • OR BA in English, Rhetoric, Writing, Humanities AND an MA in any area with 18 graduate level credits hours in English, Rhetoric, Writing
