Job Description:

The Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences at Westfield State University seeks a one-year, full-time temporary physics faculty member for a position starting September 1, 2018. Applicants are expected to teach algebra-based and calculus-based physics lectures and associated labs.

A minimum of a doctorate degree in a related field (applicants who are ABD will be considered at the rank of Instructor).


  • Previous experience teaching physics in a university or college setting is preferred.
  • A demonstrated commitment to promoting domestic diversity and/or global multiculturalism in the curriculum where appropriate.
