A teaching load of 5 course sections (15 credit hours) per semester is expected. Teaching may involve traditional, online, and hybrid formats. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include supervision of student interns and service to the school, university, and profession.
Minimum Position Qualifications
A minimum of an earned Master’s degree is required in Health Promotion, Health Sciences, Exercise Science, or a related area of study. The ability to teach lower and upper division undergraduate health science/health promotion courses (e.g., Wellness Concepts, Project Management, Program Planning, Assessment and Evaluation, Health Fitness Instruction, Health Counseling, Epidemiology) is required. The ability to teach face-to-face and online courses is required. National health and wellness certifications are desired. Effective oral and written communication skills are strongly desired. Candidate must meet eligibility requirements to begin and continue working in the United States at the time of appointment.
