Description of Work Unit
The Department of Philosophy has a strong commitment to undergraduate education and aims to prepare students for a wide variety of professional and life goals, including graduate school in philosophy, but also a variety of other fields, including, but not limited to, professional training in law, social work, the health-care professions, or theology, business, and general intellectual flexibility in a changing world. Undergraduates can major in any of General Philosophy; Philosophies and Religions; or Philosophy, Science and Technology concentrations within the Philosophy major. Students can also earn a minor in General Philosophy or Religious Studies. A certificate may also be earned in Philosophy in either Ethics and Society or Global Philosophies and Religions.

The Philosophy Department invites applications for part-time instructors to teach courses in philosophy, logic, and religious studies. These are non-tenure track positions. These are part-time, 10 hour-per-week positions.

Required Job Qualifications
Minimum requirement is an M.A. in philosophy or religious studies.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience teaching in higher education. Ph.D. in Philosophy, Logic, Religious Studies, or related field.
