Job Description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Prairie View A&M University invites applicants for two non-tenure-track Lecturer positions. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, teaching undergraduate courses, developing scholarly work, providing service to the department, college and the university.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate engineering courses.
  • Developing and enhancing courses and laboratories.
  • Developing scholarly work.
  • Providing services to the department, college and the university.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • (1) Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines; or (2) completed all Ph.D. degree requirements in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines by the employment date.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must have demonstrated excellent knowledge through education, research or industrial experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in mechanical design, or thermo-fluid science areas. Other areas in mechanical engineering might be also considered.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must have demonstrated excellent knowledge through education, research or industrial experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in mechanical design, or thermo-fluid science areas. Other areas in mechanical engineering might be also considered.
