Life and Medical Sciences/Biological and Environmental Science

FTE: 0.8 FTE working 29.6 hours per week

Duration of Contract: FTC 12 months

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and proactive lecturer with expertise in Biomedical Sciences to join our existing Bioscience team and contribute to the ongoing development of this group.  The successful candidate will have an honours degree with a good research record and be motivated to teach in an environment that is dynamic and open to innovation.  Experience in teaching in higher education would be an advantage.

The successful candidate should have good interpersonal skills and effective communication skills. The successful applicant for this post will work within the Bioscience Subject Group in developing and delivering existing undergraduate and postgraduate modules on the Bioscience Programmes and may contribute to the delivery of other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. There is some flexibility in the teaching contribution but will include:  biomedical sciences, histology, cytology, and haematology.

The Bioscience team is part of the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences which focuses on some of life sciences’ most exciting and rapidly evolving disciplines. The Department is active in research, consultancy and training with strong links to education and commerce worldwide.
