Salary: £32,548 – £59,950 p.a. on Grade 7, 8 or 9 in accordance with the requirements of the Person Specification

Bangor Business School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Economics. Applications from candidates that would complement or broaden the School’s research and teaching portfolio would be welcome. Exceptional candidates with relevant experience and research profiles could be appointed at Senior Lecturer level.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, undertake research supervision at the Masters and PhD levels, and contribute to the administration of the School. For appointment at Senior Lecturer level, candidates will be expected to have significant teaching experience and a record of international excellence in research publications.

Candidates should have a PhD (or near completion of) in one of the relevant areas, experience of planning and delivering a range of teaching and assessment activities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and show evidence of sustaining a personal research plan and developing innovative research proposals. Candidates will be expected to teach existing general modules as well as specialised modules.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic, supportive, and friendly School with a strategy of building on its strength in teaching, research and scholarship.

The Department is looking to appoint to either Teaching and Research or Teaching and Scholarship contracts. Appointments at senior lecturer level will be for Teaching and Research contract only.
