Job description

Alliance Manchester Business School’s Executive Development Centre is making a strategic investment in a Level 7 Senior Leader programme – the MSc Management Practice – to meet the new opportunities provided by the English Apprenticeship Levy.

The programme will launch in January 2019, and we are seeking academic staff in each of the areas of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Accounting and Finance, and Project and Programme Management in order to complement our existing academic team. While the principal responsibilities will be delivery on the new MSc, there will be other delivery opportunities as appropriate. The appointments will be made on the University of Manchester’s Teaching and Scholarship basis, with a typical workload split of 80% teaching and administration; and 20% scholarship activity.

The overall purpose of the job is to design and deliver innovative and high quality teaching across a range of Executive Education programmes, in particular, the new MSc Management Practice (Level 7 Senior Leaders programme); to contribute to business development activity with existing and potential clients and to undertake scholarly activity aligned to the School’s research interests and of relevance to Executive Education.
