The School of Accountancy is currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to teach at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in one or more of the following areas: financial and management accounting, auditing and accounting information systems. You will also be expected to supervise postgraduate students.

This position is based on the Auckland campus, in Albany. The campus has state-of-the-art academic and recreational facilities. If you have not been to Auckland, imagine an urban environment where everyone lives within half an hour of beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a dozen enchanted holiday islands. Add a sunny climate, a background rhythm of Polynesian culture and a passion for outstanding food, wine and shopping, and you’re beginning to get the picture of Auckland, our largest and most diverse city.

To be successful in appointment to this position, you must have a PhD in accounting along with an outstanding record of research and teaching. You must also have a strong desire to interact closely with a group of diverse and high achieving international faculty.

While an appointment as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer is desirable, we are flexible in providing a three year paid fixed-term development opportunity at Assistant Lectureship level. This will provide you with the opportunity to complete your PhD, while undertaking supervised teaching duties.

Further enquiries about the role should be directed to Professor Fawzi Laswad, Head of School of Accountancy.
