Job Description

Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track appointment in the Department of Molecular Microbiology & Immunology. The Tavis lab seeks a post-doctoral fellow to conduct drug discovery targeting the Hepatitis B Virus ribonuclease H. Qualifications for the post-doctoral position are a Ph.D. or equivalent degree plus 0-3 year’s postdoctoral experience in cell biology and/or molecular virology. The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary collaborative team under Dr. Tavis’ supervision to screen compounds against HBV replication and HBV RNaseH activity, evaluate cytotoxicity and ADME/PK characteristics of promising inhibitors, and assess the effects of the inhibitors on HBV and cells. Salary will be competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
