Biola University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Engineering Physics at the Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor rank to begin as early as January 2019 or until filled.

Responsibilities. Teach various undergraduate engineering courses (particularly statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials), computer techniques, general physics courses, and advise engineering physics majors in the 3+2 Engineering Physics Program established with the University of Southern California. Mentor students in research and/or engineering projects. Provide career guidance, and coordinate student transfer and internship opportunities. Help oversee and maintain undergraduate engineering/physics laboratories and instrumentation. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development and well as collaborative, interdisciplinary research projects. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities and professional organizations.

Qualifications. Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Commitment to high quality instruction in a student-centered environment. Industrial experience and/or prior university teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is essential. The candidate must have a strong Christian commitment with an interest in the integration of faith and science.
