This position is a professional, staff position responsible for overseeing the University Archives and Special Collections at Collier Library. This position provides strategic direction for the University archives with a continuous focus on collection development, exhibitions, donor relationships, and digital initiatives. This position is responsible for accessioning, processing, description, and preservation of all archival collections. This position is also responsible for programming and instruction related to archives and special collection content.

Minimum qualifications include: MLIS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent, required; Prior experience sustaining and cultivating donor relationships, required; At least two years of successful archives or museum experience, required.

The University of North Alabama traces its roots to 1830 and LaGrange College, the first state-chartered college in Alabama.
