Position Summary:

The Department of Nursing at Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Specialist Professor, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This anticipated opening for the 2017-2018 academic year is non-tenure track, with a one year initial appointment subject to subsequent multi-year reappointments without limit.

The candidate would be expected to: teach 12 credits per semester, advise students, maintain disciplinary currency, serve on department and university committees, assist with student recruitment and retention.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or higher. Valid certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Licensed or license-eligible as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New Jersey. Recent clinical experience.

Must have a commitment to high quality teaching, scholarship and service.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate nursing students.Experience teaching undergraduate psychiatric nursing, as well as, graduate child/adolescent psychiatric nursing.
