The Department of Sociology and Criminology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with a specialty in the sociology of crime, law, and deviance or criminology to begin in August 2019.

Duties and Responsibilities
The department is committed to an undergraduate teacher/scholar model and applicants should show a strong commitment to academic research and teaching. The successful candidates primary teaching responsibility will be in the criminology program, consisting of 5 undergraduate courses per academic year (3/2 load). Pre-tenure faculty members receive a semester-long sabbatical after a positive third-year review.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in sociology or criminology by the time of appointment.
