Job Description

Oversee general management and operations of all traditional Argosy campuses (excluding the College of Creative Arts and Design and Western State College of Law). Closely monitor relevant metrics to identify resource, support, and training needs. Partner with school Presidents to ensure day-to-day general management of the schools are executed in adherence to policies and procedures. Manage/achieve quarterly, annual, and strategic business plans for both the revenues derived from new and continuing students as well as for the schools’ overall expenses and the attainment of operating income. Serves as a member of the University Executive Leadership Team to assure that University priority initiatives are implemented and managed appropriately, and in collaboration with other ELT specialists, that resources are allocated to deliver the highest ROI.

The incumbent will be responsible for Argosy campus locations in: California, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Seattle, and Northern Virginia, as well as for clinical psychology operations at all campuses.

Key Job Elements:

    • Oversee the development of quarterly, annual, and long-range business plans for each assigned school, and submit for review and approval.
    • Evaluate market conditions and programmatic health to establish strategies to increase the competitiveness of the Ed System programs. Lead the development of campus strategy including new product opportunities.
    • Achieve fiscal and operating objectives, as well as ensure that university strategic objectives are implemented within the campuses.
    • Work with the functional Specialists to assure that school staffing is appropriate in number and performance for maximum efficiency and school goal attainment, specifically, EC, ADA, and Presidential positions.
    • Ensure that federal, state, accreditation, financial aid standards and regulations, and system rules standards are met.
    • Collaborate with functional leadership (admissions, academics, HR, finance, marketing) to allocate resources and maintain an understanding of critical issues and solutions.
    • Partner with Campus President and EC Team to establish a culture centered around student, staff and faculty success.
    • Along with the Dean of the college, establish and manage the operations of the College of Clinical Psychology.
    • Ensure the quality of the student experience is maintained through numerous means including examination of course delivery strategies; ensure student feedback mechanisms are properly deployed, reviewed and utilized in decision making.
    • Work with the corporate real-estate and facility teams to ensure locations are sized appropriately for the student body and market potential and are maintained at a standard the strengthens the Argosy brand.
    • Serve as a member of the University Executive Leadership Team and contribute to the development and execution of the University priorities

Job Requirements:

    • * Master’s degree required
    • * A minimum 15 year’s progressively responsible operational and leadership experience, ideally within postsecondary career education or general management within a customer service oriented industry.
    • * Experience as President/Director of a postsecondary education institution preferred.
    * Business acumen and prior direct P & L responsibility.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with student and staff populations.
  • Superior organizational, prioritization, and self-motivation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, MS Office Suite.

Abilities:

  • Ability to interact effectively as both a leader and as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to listen to customers (e.g. staff, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests.
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadline
