The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) Director Position for the Dental Hygiene Department. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio offering primarily associate degrees, with an enrollment of approximately 5,100 students.
Faculty responsibilities include: EFDA course development, recruitment, staffing, selective admission, and program management. Additional responsibilities include didactic teaching of all EFDA courses, pre-clinical teaching of EFDA pre-clinical laboratory courses, clinical supervision of students and EFDA instructors. Other duties include clinical teaching in the dental hygiene clinical and/or lab settings. This position requires proficiency in English; the ability to effectively perform EFDA and dental hygiene duties.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s Degree in dental hygiene or health related field; an Ohio Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary Certificate; Ohio dental hygiene license or eligibility for Ohio license; and local anesthesia certificate in Ohio. Candidates must have documented one year of clinic and/or classroom teaching experience in an EFDA program or a dental hygiene program. Candidates must have two years clinical practice experience in both EFDA and dental hygiene.
