One year position. Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications. Includes Notre Dame’s generous benefits (see: Teaching load will include: private studio violin and viola instruction to performance majors and advanced undergraduate students; related course instruction including Chamber Music and Studio Classes. Additional duties include adjudication of auditions; evaluation of undergraduate admissions recordings and juries; attendance at degree recitals; oversight of adjunct faculty student assignments. Qualifications: M.M. required; D.M.A. or equivalent professional experience preferred. Candidates committed to teaching music in a liberal arts context are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have a record of excellence and experience in collegiate teaching and performance experience at the national or international level. The faculty violinist is expected to maintain an ongoing professional performing career. Start date: August 21, 2018.
