Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time one-year position of Visiting Instructor in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics to begin September 1, 2018.

Required Qualifications: We seek candidates who have an earned Master’s (PhD or ABD preferred) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field. Candidates must have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching. A commitment to undergraduate teaching and advising is essential.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching with the statistical software R is desired. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate.

Major/Essential Functions: The teaching assignment for this position will include three courses per semester. Primary teaching responsibilities will include courses in statistics at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum, including courses toward the statistics major/minor and general education.
