Oregon State University’s (OSU) School of Nuclear Science and Engineering (NSE) is seeking to fill one full-time (1.00 FTE), tenure-track, 9-month assistant/associate/full professor position to begin September 16, 2021.
Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and developing a sustainable, externally-funded and nationally recognized research program in a technical subdiscipline of nuclear science and engineering. A PhD in nuclear engineering, radiation health physics, or a closely related field is required. Preferred qualifications include postdoctoral or industry experience in Nuclear Science and Engineering or closely related field as well as a demonstrated ability to develop a research program that expands on existing activities at OSU, especially related to one or more of OSU’s three signature research areas (Advancing the Science of Sustainable Earth Ecosystems; Improving Human Health and Wellness; and Promoting Economic Growth and Social Progress).
