Position Summary
The Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a tenured or tenure-track position in the Voice Department. Responsibilities will include the teaching of song literature courses at the undergraduate, master’s, and/or doctoral level, and coaching and playing for rehearsals for the IU Opera Theater. Service on Jacobs School committees and participation in departmental meeting, hearings, auditions, and active recruiting. Possible participation on doctoral advisory and research committees.

Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in music; comparable professional experience will be given equal consideration. Significant experience as a coach/accompanist for opera productions and in teaching song literature.

Salary and RankAppointment will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate (tenured or tenure-track), or Full Professor (tenured), as appropriate. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
