Department of Computer Science
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Computer Science faculty position in the Department of Computer Science, which begins January 2020.
The department seeks candidates who strive for excellence in teaching and professional and scholarly achievements in the area of expertise. The successful candidate is expected to teach a broad range of courses in computer science at both graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as develop new courses in areas of expertise. They are also expected to plan and conduct research and develop an extramurally funded research program involving undergraduate and graduate students. Service to the department is required.
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in computer science, a related field, or its foreign equivalent.
Preference will be given to candidates working on one or more of the following fields: data science and analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, information retrieval, natural language processing, information and cyber security, database and data mining, Internet-of- Things, and networking. Strong candidates in other related research fields will also be considered. Teaching experience is desired.
