Position Description Summary
The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates’ Department of Surgery (MFA) is seeking a full-time faculty member at the academic rank of Assistant Professor on the non-tenure track in the Division of General Surgery.
The MFA is an independent not-for-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University with physicians practicing in the Washington, DC region to include Virginia and Maryland suburbs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Our physicians provide clinical care as well as teaching residents and medical students and contributing to an active research program.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in general surgery at the time of appointment. They must have demonstrated excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations, in research as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and excellence in clinical care as evidenced by experience, fellowships, and references. Applicants must also be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland at the time of appointment.
Advertised Salary: Commensurate with experience
