The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. 70% Studio and/or elective instruction – teaching at the undergraduate or first-professional graduate degree levels in accordance with relevant KU Course Catalog Description.
20% Class preparation
10% Maintain office hours, attend administrative meetings
Lecturers are non-tenure-track members of the faculty with limited term appointments, whose primary role is instructional with no obligations to perform research or service.
Architecture Lecturer Position Requirements (for teaching classes in the M.Arch and/or B.A. degrees)
- M.Arch. (NAAB-accredited professional terminal degree)
- B.Arch (NAAB-accredited professional terminal degree) or professional or terminal degree from a related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Planning) plus a minimum of 3 years of effective experience in professional practice and/or college-level teaching with documented evidence of outstanding achievement in the form of publication, awards, design portfolio, certification within the design or construction industries, or licensure.
Post-professional degree, professional architectural registration.
