The University of Iowa, School of Music is now accepting applications for Visiting Assistant Professor of Music – Horn. This is a three-year position pending positive annual reviews.
Duties: May include but not necessarily be limited to: teaching studio horn to graduate and undergraduate students; performing with the faculty brass quintet; participating in brass area recruitment activities; serving on recital committees; advising students; participating in service to the department, college, university, and community as appropriate; other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in horn (must be in hand by start date). Significant performing experience (including chamber music) and/or collegiate teaching experience.
Desired Qualifications: Earned doctorate or equivalent professional performing experience and teaching experience at the collegiate level.
Start Date: August 18, 2021
