The Jacqueline Wilson Fegley ’71 College of Nursing at Neumann University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Nursing faculty position at the assistant professor rank.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Uses effective teaching and assessment strategies in the classroom, laboratory setting, and if applicable, the clinical environment.
  • Collaborates in the implementation of the program’s mission and vision for programmatic and department improvement.
  • Provides advisement and guidance to nursing students to provide effective academic progression through graduation.
  • Works collaboratively with faculty members, staff, and administrators of the Nursing Programs and School of Nursing and Health Sciences to meet the program’s goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree nursing education is required from an accredited institution of higher education. Doctoral degree in nursing preferred.
  • Clinical nursing practice in mental health nursing of three years or more is required.
  • Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
  • Must be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania and Delaware, and meet background requirements according to institutional regulations, the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, and Pennsylvania and Delaware statutes.
  • Candidates must possess an appreciation for, congruence with, and commitment to the Franciscan mission of the University.

Faculty Protocol:

  • Candidates should be aware that Neumann University does not have a system of tenure, but instead offers faculty a policy-governed system of promotion and increasingly extended contracts with faculty seniority.
