Job description

The University of Mount Union’s Department of Art is seeking a full-time one-year visiting Art Faculty. Currently, a major in Art has three possible paths toward a degree: Studio Art Concentration, Graphic Design Concentration, and Art Education Concentration. The visiting Instructor area of expertise would be in one the three concentrations. This faculty would teach courses in the Department of Art’s and potentially the University’s Integrative Core.

Responsibilities

Teaching duties will be pending qualifications and areas of expertise. Additional duties will include office hours, administrative duties related to the department and studio organization.

Qualifications

Ideally, the candidate would have three to five years of collegiate teaching experience. The terminal degree within the field is preferred. An Individual’s prior professional experience and fit for the position may override a higher degree. (Degrees considered: MFA, MA)

In addition, the Department of Art is specifically seeking faculty (both full-time and part-time) in the area of Graphic Design, Animation, and Photography.

This position is required to complete assigned University compliance training as communicated by the University.
