Job Summary
Teaching and supporting students preparing for careers in health information management, medical coding, healthcare data systems, and related healthcare administration fields.
Job Duties
- Teach Health Information Management classes as assigned.
- Participate in program Advisory Meetings.
- Participate in programmatic accreditation activities/initiatives.
- Participate in recruitment initiatives and advise prospective and current students.
- Fulfill duties of RSCC faculty as defined in policy PA-24-01.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree in Health Information Management.
RHIT or RHIA credentials required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with experience in Health Information Management/Medical Records.
Prior teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of health information management principles and practices.
Strong teaching and classroom facilitation skills.
Ability to teach diverse student populations.
